Not because they are difficult to read, but when you start, they can be a bit overwhelming. Moreover, they also have specific order that you need to follow when you read them otherwise you might miss the story line. That being said, we have a simple how to guide that can get you started when reading manga.
The Different Types Of Manga
For starters, you need to know that there are different types of Manga. Just like there are different types of online casinos games that you can play, there are also different types of manga that you can read.
There are 5 types of manga, namely, these are:
- Seinen: men’s manga
- Josei: women’s manga
- Shojo- girls manga

Your Genre
For starters, you need to know which type of manga you want to read. Above, we mentioned the 5 different manga categories. And among those 5 categories, there are other different genres that are embedded into each category.
By the way, just because it is called men’s manga, does not mean that it is read by men, it only means that it is about men. The same goes for all the other different types of manga that we mentioned.
Reading Order
Thereafter, when you are reading, you need to know they read from right to left. Although there are some rare cases when you will find that they read form left to right. That being said, when you are reading manga, you need to start at the upper right corner of the upper right panel and then from there, you will read from right to left. You will need to make sure to repeat this process up until you get to the bottom of the page.
Also under reading order, before you start a manga, you need to check if it is part of a series or not. If it is part of a series, then you need to get the manga in that series on order to understand the storyline.
Some series may be long , but do not skip any chapters as there are details that you will miss by doing so.
Pay Attention To The Images
Lastly, when you are reading manga, you want to make sure that you pay attention to the images as well. In most cases, they are hard to miss, as they can take up most of the page space. But there are some cases where you can get so engrossed with the storyline and then you forget all about the images.
