What StatsMyWeb is

StatsMyWeb is a public tool for looking up what is publicly known about a domain: its DNS records, whether it currently answers over HTTPS, and how connected it is to the rest of the web. It answers one question — how is this part of the web put together, and what does it connect to — not “what does this page say.”

What StatsMyWeb is not

It is not a search engine, and it does not index or reproduce the content of the sites it describes. It is not affiliated with any domain it shows data for. It is not an official or authoritative registry — the figures shown are computed from open data, not sourced from the domains themselves, and are estimates rather than guaranteed-accurate records.

Where the data comes from

Live facts — DNS records, HTTPS reachability — are checked directly, on every visit, against the domain itself. Connectivity data comes from Common Crawl’s open hyperlink graph, a periodic snapshot of how pages across the web link to each other. The methodology page sets out exactly what each figure means and which snapshot it comes from.

Independence

StatsMyWeb publishes independently computed data. It earns nothing from, and has no relationship with, the sites it describes.
